    THE TEACHER BEHIND THE TECH

    I'm David Aldred.
    And I'm One of You.

I'm a 60-year-old former classroom teacher from Tampa. I spent 20 years in a classroom. My job was to take whatever felt impossible and make it click. Now I do the same thing with AI. Not because it's trendy. Because I watched too many good local businesses lose money to a problem that's completely fixable.

    HOW I GOT HERE

    This Wasn't the Plan.

Almost three years ago, I had a massive heart attack. I was 57 and thought I was doing fine. I wasn't.

The doctors saved my life. Recovery made me honest. I'd spent 20 years teaching other people how to keep learning and somewhere along the way I'd stopped doing it myself. I'd gotten comfortable. Stuck.

So I made a decision. I was going to build something new.

I started learning AI. Not because it was trendy. Not because I wanted to sell courses about it. Because I saw what it could do for businesses like yours -- businesses losing money every time a call went unanswered, every time a good lead hit a voicemail and called someone else instead.

I spent two years going deep. Tested tools. Built systems. Made mistakes. Figured out what actually works and what's just noise dressed up in tech language.

Now I help Tampa service businesses stop losing calls, capture more leads, and book more jobs without hiring anyone to make it happen.

    "Life's too short for bullshit.
Do your work and do it well."

THE HEART ATTACK THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

When You Almost Don't Make It, You Stop Wasting Time.

Recovery is a strange thing. You have a lot of time to think. I thought about the 20 years I'd spent in the classroom -- the students I'd helped, the ones I hadn't. I thought about the things I'd told myself I'd do someday.

I'd always been good with technology. I learned BASIC programming in high school in the early 1980s. I worked in telecom during the mobile revolution. I was an early internet power user. But somewhere along the way I stopped pushing into new things. I got comfortable with what I knew.

The heart attack ended that. I got a second chance I wasn't expecting. I decided to use it.

I started learning AI the same way I taught my students to learn anything hard: start with the big picture, break it into steps, test what you know, connect it to something real. Two years later, I know what works, what doesn't, and what local service businesses actually need.

I also know what it feels like to be behind the curve and think everyone else figured it out without you. That feeling is a lie. And I can prove it.

    THE TEACHER-GUIDE

I'm Not an AI Expert. I'm a Teacher Who Learned AI.

There's a difference. An AI expert will explain the architecture of a large language model. I'll show you what it does for your business on a Tuesday afternoon when you're on a job site and your phone rings.

I spent 20 years in the classroom making hard things clear. I didn't just teach the material. I taught people how to think about it. How to stop being intimidated by it. How to actually use it.

I do the same thing now with AI. No jargon. No overselling. I show you what works, explain it in plain language, and let you decide if it makes sense for your business.

You know your customers. You know your work. You know what quality looks like. You've built something real and you're not about to hand it over to some algorithm that doesn't understand your business. Good. That instinct is right.

What I teach isn't about replacing you. It's about handling the stuff that shouldn't require you in the first place. Answering the same questions 40 times a week. Picking up the phone at 9 PM. Manually scheduling appointments. AI doesn't replace your expertise. It frees you to use it.

"I'm not here to teach you AI. I'm here to make sure you never lose a job to voicemail again."

    WHAT I STAND FOR

    Here's What I Believe

Service work is the backbone of America.

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, landscapers -- you keep communities running. You deserve tools that help you serve better, not software that makes your life harder.

AI should protect your reputation, not replace your expertise.

The goal is to fire the drudgery -- the repetitive stuff that stops you from doing the work you love. Your judgment, your relationships, your reputation stay yours.

    Clarity beats complexity.

I don't use jargon. I don't oversell. I show you what works, explain it in plain language, and let you decide if it makes sense for your business. No dashboards to learn. No tutorials to watch.

Transformation is possible at any age.

I rebuilt my life at 58. You can rebuild your business operations at any age. Being Gen-X is proof of experience, not expiration. My 40-year technology journey gives me pattern recognition that younger consultants can't match.

    I believe in Tampa.

I'm not a distant agency. I'm your neighbor. When you work with me, you get my cell phone number, not a support ticket. I know this market, I know these businesses, and I'm here for the long run.

    Straight talk, always.

I don't do high-pressure sales calls. I don't overpromise. If AI can solve your problem, I'll show you exactly how. If it can't, I'll tell you that too. Tampa businesses deserve straight answers, not sales pitches.

    LET'S TALK

If Any of This Sounds Like What You Need, Let's Have a Conversation.

I don't do high-pressure sales calls. I just want to understand your business and see if AI makes sense for what you're trying to do. If it does, I'll show you how it works. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.
